Client problem
The project required the development of a secure SaaS platform capable of verifying and recording genuine user GPS locations while preventing the use of spoofed or manipulated mobile device data.
The platform needed to:
- Allow users to securely verify their physical location
- Detect location spoofing and device tampering attempts
- Support both iOS and Android mobile devices
- Deliver a simple user experience suitable for non-technical users
- Incorporate consumer-friendly QR-code driven workflows
- Validate that verification actions were being performed by a real human user rather than automated systems or replay attacks
- Combine mobile app verification with cloud-hosted SaaS infrastructure
A major technical requirement was ensuring that submitted GPS locations originated from genuine physical devices, legitimate operating system location services and real human interaction rather than simulated or manipulated data sources.
Solution
Designed and developed a complete cloud-hosted location verification platform incorporating a WordPress-based SaaS system alongside custom iOS and Android mobile applications.
The platform combines:

Consumer-friendly QR-code workflows were implemented to simplify onboarding and verification processes, allowing users to quickly initiate secure location validation sessions directly from mobile devices.
Additional anti-fraud mechanisms were developed using live selfie-camera video capture and device-level validation techniques to help ensure verification requests were being performed by genuine human users on legitimate physical devices.
Custom mobile application functionality was also developed to interact directly with platform-specific operating system services and hardware-level device information in order to validate the integrity of submitted location data.
The architecture was specifically designed to bridge user-friendly SaaS workflows with advanced mobile device verification, human validation and anti-spoofing mechanisms.
