Error: This project configuration may not have been created with the harmony wizard or it has been incorrectly modified in some way
Classic MPLABX ultra unhelpful error message. It turns out, for us, that this was caused by the MCC only having a MPLAB Harmony option for our device and requiring the project to have been initially created as a Harmony project. No helpful guidance to tell us this, just an error message telling us our project was corrupt.
File > New Project > 32 bit MCC Harmony Project
